ELECTRA facilitates the application of the following therapeutic currents:

• Diadynamic current ensures effective treatment of painful and inflammatory conditions of muscles, joints, and peripheral nerves, and in sports medicine facilitates rapid recovery after injuries and hematomas.
• Faradic current enables stimulation of normally innervated muscles in various types of therapies.
• Pulse current, with a gradual and steady increase in intensity over time, allows stimulation of partially innervated or denervated muscles.
• Galvanic current (direct current) can be used alone or in combination with diadynamic, faradic, or pulse currents. Therefore, Electra is suitable for galvanization, galvanic baths, and iontophoretic drug administration.
• Bipolar current is used for toning and rehabilitative muscle stimulation. Symmetrical bipolar stimulation improves sensory tolerance due to a gentler sensation of the current, while avoiding the negative effects of the electrolytic action associated with monopolar stimulation.
• Interferential current enables the delivery of low-frequency analgesic or muscle-stimulating currents to deeper tissue layers through high-frequency carrier currents, which reduce skin impedance and minimize epidermal irritation.
